Financing your education doesn't have to be complicated. At The Court Reporting Institute, we have highly skilled Financial Aid Advisors that are specifically trained to help students apply for and secure financial assistance to go to college. Our financial aid advisors can assist students with federal financial aid programs, scholarship programs, employer reimbursement programs and private education funding programs.

Some of the Federal financial aid programs available to our students include Pell Grants, SEOG Grants, Subsidized Stafford Loans, Unsubsidized Stafford Loans, and Parent PLUS loans.

We also participate in numerous scholarship programs that are specifically designed for students attending a career college. We encourage you to explore some of the scholarship opportunities that we have.

The Federal Pell Grant Program - The Federal Pell Grant program provides grants to students for each undergraduate year. The amount of the grant is based upon the financial assets of the student and/or the student's parents. Amount of awards may vary.

The SEOG Program - The SEOG program is a pool of limited funds for students with exceptional need.

Federal Stafford Student Loan - The Federal Stafford Student Loan enables you to borrow from a bank, credit union, savings & loan association, or from the U.S. Department of Education. The loan is insured by the Federal Government. Repayment is a minimum of $50.00 per month, starting 6 months after graduation. The interest on these loans is below market rate (determined by the Federal Government). There are both subsidized and unsubsidized loans. The government pays the interest on subsidized loans while you are in school.

Federal Plus Loans - Federal Plus Loans are for parents who want to borrow to help pay for their children's education. Plus loans provide the funds for educational expenses and are made by a lender
such as a bank, credit union, savings and loan association, or the U.S. Department of Education.

Veteran's Educational Benefits - Veteran's Educational Benefits through the Veteran's Administration may pay monthly educational allowances to qualified students to help defray the cost of tuition and living expenses. For further information, contact the Veteran's Administration or the Admissions Office at Vatterott College. Not all training programs are approved for veteran's benefits. PLEASE NOTE THAT STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR TUITION PAYMENTS, NOT THE VETERAN'S ADMINISTRATION.

Government and State Sponsored Programs - Government sponsored programs such as Vocational Rehabilitation, Job's Training Partnership Act, The Older American Act, the Trade Readjustment Act, and the Indian Education Bureau are accepted at Vatterott College.

Entrance/Exit Counseling

Before a college student can be eligible for any type of Federal financial aid, the student MUST participate in a financial aid “Entrance Counseling” session. Participation in the Entrance Counseling session is required by the U.S. Department of Education.

Likewise, whenever a student who participated in any of the Federal financial aid programs leaves college, the U.S. Department of Education REQUIRES that student to attend a financial aid “Exit Counseling” session. As a convenience for our students, we have created the link on this page which allows our students to complete their Entrance Counseling session online.

To complete your Entrance or Exit Counseling, click on the appropriate link aboveand proceed through the counseling session.
